Six days to Rhodes

I am lost for words. Had an incredible day today from Vuvu to Rhodes.

The past two days have been the toughest days in my living memory. Yesterday was mentally and physically exhausting, today physically hard and unrelenting.

Scenery was breathtaking. Weather conditions so varied we cycled in rain; sleet; snow (yes); wind; mud and sun. Portaged bikes (ie backpack & bike on back) attempting to navigate up and down mountain passes that klipspringers would find tiresome.

Google: Lehana’s Pass and Naude’s Nek.

Now for one night we have traded a bucket bath next to a school for a hotel shower. It is the simple things in life…

The Ride-to-Rhodes guys have completed their journey. Now it is the motley few RASA people left in the game and heading westwards in search of a promised blanket.
